Office of the Comptroller
The Comptroller’s Office at Margibi University is responsible for fiscal planning and general accounting records and procedures. The office is tasked with the responsibility of preparing and interpreting financial records, payment of university's legally incurred obligations for goods and services, payrolls, and managing administrative support for business services; including collecting amounts due to the University.
The Office of the Comptroller is charged with compliance of Board financial policies, financial laws of the Government of Liberia, and other applicable authorities. The Office monitors, records, reports the university's financial activities in accordance with university policy and procedures, external audit requirements, adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, governmental rules and regulations. The Comptroller’s Office has oversight responsibility of:
• Student Accounts
• Account Receivable
• Account Payable
• Procurement
• MFDP Support
• Payroll
The Office of the Comptroller is also responsible for cash and investment management of university funds, long-term debt management, and endowment management. In addition, the office may issue routine financial reports for external constituents and make available annual audited financial statements.
